ACEO Collaboration - Color + The Last day to comment and be entered to win the finished ACEO

Turquoise, Orange & White!!!!!

The votes have been tallied and there was a last minute upset. This morning I began a post and the winner was the monochromatic green, but when I came back to finish, the lead changed and Orange, Turquoise and White were the victors, so since I didn't set a specific end time, I gotta go with the winner at the time of my post. Now voting is officially closed and aside from my completing the ACEO, the project is almost done! Here is a sneak of the carving I did. I hope to have the finished piece up by Friday and announce the winner, but I will continue to post sneak peaks all week. New Feature - Be Inspired- Orange

This is a new feature on my blog which I will post weekly, usually on Mondays, called Be Inspired. I am starting this one a little early so that I can complete my orange blog writing assignment for the Etsy Blogger Street Team and I also wanted to try out the this new blog feature, Leafletter. The inspiration may be a color, a color combination, a specific subject, shape, texture, etc. I will also try to include keywords connected to the theme that may help trigger inspiration.

The piece must be inspired by the Be Inspired post and cannot be an item created prior to the posting. This week's inspiration, is the color orange. It has never been one of my favorite colors, but I have grown to appreciate it as I continue to grow artistically. I think I was intimidated by it's boldness, and I wasn't very comfortable combining it with other colors. Most recently I have combined it with bright pink and brown, and have finally found a soft spot for orange in my heart. So, be inspired by the color orange and take some time this week to use a little orange in your creations. You may be surprised by it's versatility!
